Does having our own IPMS chapter HURT our stance? Doubt it. I am not quite sure I understand the IPMS National thing (is that what IPMS USA is?) When I referred to "national" I meant IPMS USA, to me they are the same thing. Can a member NOT belong to more than one chapter? I do not think this is an issue since IPMS membership is not required to belong to a local club. The club just needs to have a minimum of 5 IPMS members and all officers need to be members. One reason I want our own chapter is to have a somewhat more formal existence within IPMS, to show them that we are serious and to be watched. In regards to fees - I will cover those.

Oh, and John Ratzenberger of IPMS e-mailed me about your efforts as well. However I think he is of the opinion that your efforts were for starting a SIG, you may want to touch base with him about that in more detail.
