Interesting thoughts Dessy ..... I'd like to see the gatlin made entirely from paper with paper gears, so that it worked as it should, as I'm interested in automatas made of paper at the moment. I was an instrument maker for most of my working life, so metal gears aren't a problem if I went down a metal path, but paper interests me more. Your gatlin is very detailed, so may I ask where you got your inspiration and parts plans from?
