Tillamook (not the cheese factory!)
We just rolled in from a week at the seashore. While there we went again to the Air Museum at Tillamook. It is in a storage hanger for airships used for sub spotting and coast watch during WWII so is a remarkable huge wood structure, not fancy like Evergreen, but lots of cool stuff. The planes are mostly walk around and some are in various states, but not painted up nice unless flyable for the most part. When we were there the Duck and the Ki-43(only flyable specimen) and a 51 were out warming up the big radials...was cool. They were reported to fly but didn't while we were there. Sorry about the photo quality..we were tent camping....
