Seems to be a very crappy piece of celluloid so there's still no DVD release. :D:D:D
It originally was intended to base on the first three novels but the final story has not much in common with them because the screenwriter was specialized on B-Movie crime thrillers. So Perry Rhodan turned into a kind of space commissioner hunting some space gangsters.
I've never been a reader of the Perry Rhodan novels so I don't know if the ships in the movie are authentically.
