Knife- You're not doing too bad. I did the yellow repaint of that one, and I can tell ya it takes a bit of getting used to. But man, is the end result nice. After a few builds of this one, I can recommend building the whole side as one piece, instead of leaving the doors to go on later. It makes for a more sturdy front corner when connecting to the windscreen. Keep it coming, and be patient.
Oh yeah, regular 20 lb. paper works best fo the joiner strips I found.
