Progress Report:

The pictures will tell the story better than words. All of the parts so far are laminated on to .033 inch cardboard - cereal box. The only exception is the piece of paper (picture 4) that represents the inner boot. It is crinkled up and then placed inside the boot; then glued around the inside of the rim.

The remaining parts are then built up and wrapped against the crinkled paper.

The inner structure is designed to ensure that the boot comes out to the final height and that all of the upper boot parts form up the correct shape.
