Flying planes

AS Paper Aircraft Laboratory

These rather simple planes fly well, and can be launched with the help of a rubber band.

Last summer, I built a giant one made of foam sheets, a F15 according to Suzuki's pattern, about 1.3 meters wingspan, and as soon as it was completed, it was completely crushed by the movable roof of my car... no matter, I'll build another one next summer. If successful at flying it high in the sky ( I'll use a long rope to make it climb as a kite), I'll attempt at building an enlarged Ojimak's plane the same way.

Mine, build with 4mm thick foam sheets, had a ratio flash area/weight much below 10 decigrams/cm2, I guess my plane was not heavy enough, but I could have easily fix that by adding extra weight.
