As I read it, that disclaimer only applies to the Wheaties line of models, not the Rigby ones. At least one of the books listed here (Models of the Fighting Planes of the United Nations 1942) was restored and rereleased in 1995 by Fly'n Things, led by Phil Koopman Sr. Some of the individual models seem to be been released by his son here:
