Hey there Jerry. This might me a slight over the top approach to your smoke from the stacks - BUT, i will give it...... Have you considered smoke generators used in model locomotives ? You would need the area to be fire proof with paper being involved - BUT this is do-able. Imagine the surprise on peoples faces if you did this. You could even record some sound fx, and have some small speakers. You would need a raised plinth for all this, BUT you would have one hell of a display my friend. YES it's over the top.... BUT.....
