Welcome DW. We share some initials and I (a retired Dogface) have some close Marine Corps connections (son is a retired Marine CWO, office mate at the Army War College for the past ten years is a retired Marine colonel, worked very closely with Marines in Korea, am about to publish a book on amphibious warfare).
As Dan said, the good thing about digital paper models is that you can keep printing them until you get it right (am curently working on the ninth iteration of a 1/72d model of Mark Clark's Stinson L-5 and hope to produce an acceptable version before I die of old age).
I look forward to seeing photos of whatever it is that you decide to build.
