Dear congregation!
Finally it is time for
Jacek's F.II to be built by someone in the one and only true scale (i.e. 1/250), so here I am!
I've decided to build the same plane as in the kit, but in an earlier fit with the original engine and cowling, still registered in Germany as D-57. There is a
nice photo of her in the database of the university of Zuerich, which was my main reference for the modifications. You can identify my changes in the picture below: Mainly, they are the new cowling, the removal of the KLM crest and the dark undersurfaces of the wing and the horizontal stabilizer. Additionally, I've rearranged the fuselage parts to ease alignment and eliminate one seam between the cockpit section and the aft fuselage.
The parts are printed and I shall do the first cut this week.
