I've used Aleene's regular Tacky Glue on models that are now several years old and they still look OK to me. I'm currently finishing up a bottle of Aleene's Clear Gel Tacky Glue, which I like because it's very transparent, but I think it may be discontinued. Zathros recently mentioned liking UHU's "Creativ’ Craft Glue for Cardboard & Paper" because it may be less prone to yellowing.

I like Yogi's idea of Titebond II for durability, but I'm not sure I'm neat enough to keep it from showing.

I recently ran across something called "Crafter's Pick The Ultimate" that claims to be the only water-based "super glue". I'd be interested in hearing from anyone whose used it in card modeling.
