Pretty much figured I knew what size a regular door was and that would be a good gauge to determine the size of the model.

Bottom line question is, What size in inches would a regular door on an "N" gauge & "HO" gauge building be???

Any help would be appreciated.

BoB, I just did a quick calculation for a standard 6ft-6in high door...at N scale which I believe equals 1:160 the door should be 1/2" tall.

At HO scale/gauge which is 1:87 the door would be 7/8" tall.

The numbers you quoted seem to be a bit on the large side for N and HO. Unless your considering a taller door, then your close.

Hope this helps,
