I was very interested by the whole thing, and since will be making a tiny figurehead soon myself, well, all the more so.
Some progress was made on the weekend, planking done, not painted so can lay out locations of things. Some say she carried 10 guns, but Chapelle shows 8 ports...more probable if she carried 10 that 6 ports a side with one not used more common, but speculation comes in.. I sketched in 6 ports, I think it looks nice that way, but would interrupt the chainplates as the ports are on the same level..what to do..well lots of other things to do as hoping to figure some way to make the decks, I like the Tuft's so will likely do something similar, carved a bowsprit to give me some sense of scale as location structions on the bow
