Y's tanks are very well designed, but they have their challenges, especially the compound curves of the Sherman cast turret. And, of course, they are small!
Have you tried BestPaperModel's line of 1/87 military vehicles? Also small, but not difficult to build; simplified running gear, but the beautiful art work tricks the eye.
