They redesigned the displays long after I left Wright Pat Air Force base and put all the atomic bomb artifacts in one area. I wonder why they painted Fat Man in that curious paint scheme only to drop it on Nagasaki.

I'm planning on a trip back to the Museum at the end of summer. IF I actually make the trip, I'll make sure to get some photos of the bomb bay of Bock's Car.

BTW, like the Enola Gay, that is the REAL Bock's Car and not just some random B-29 they painted to represent the atomic bomber. With some detailed restoration of the engines, etc., that plane could be made to fly. Like most of the museum's aircraft, Bock's Car flew to the museum decades ago!
