Pieces for the front LG

pieces for the main LG

Light and antenna (?) bulge on the tail

wing fold mechanism progress. The white box is the center of the outer wing, more detailed shots to follow

dry fitting outer wing and support for the wing.

the end bent wires (paperclips) insert into small holes in the actuator arms extending from the inner wing. The wires can slide in and out, but are restricted from moving any other way.

It works!! I am very pleased with how well this looks. The mechanism provides a very stable base for the outer wing, which is what is most important for me. Due to limited space I have to display this with the wings folded so building the mechanism is necessary.

there is a small fairing that goes over top of the wing fold joint, I'll take detailed pictures of it later, as its kind of hard to explain how I have it set up

I think one of the most redeeming qualities about this build is the level of customization that is available. The wings can be built to fold, the flaps and ailerons are all position-able, the elevators are on a central spar which allows them to move, the air brakes on the wing-tips can be built deployed, and the arresting hook can be positioned...

I have two straight pins going in at an angle in order to make this work. It is actually a very stiff joint, so there aren't any foreseeable issues with the pins working themselves loose

Overall the arresting hook is very simple, comprising of 4 pieces, plus two small pieces on the end of the arm which allows a place for the pin to go through
