Not to put too fine a point on it but the B-57A was essentially a Canberra B.2 license-built by the Martin Aircraft Company. Only eight were built and they never saw squadron service, being used for testing. The RB-57A did see squadron service in Europe and in the Pacific. Most RB-57As ended up in the ANG with the exception of a couple dozen that were converted to EB-57As as trials aircraft against Allied SAM systems. The B-57A family were the only British designed Canberras used by the USAF.
All later B-57 models were "home-grown" American versions (re)designed and produced by Martin.
