There used to be a life-size papermodel of a Laughing Kookaburra. I got this one from Scheuer & Strüver (now Moduni.de) in the mid 1990s:

THE BIRDS (all things bird model related!)-abif-kookaburra.jpg

It was quite common at the time, but seems to be scarce now. It was the second of a series of three papermodel birds called "Australian Birds in Flight" - the first one, a Galah Parrot, was even bigger, and until recently Diderick A. den Bakker had one for sale at his site, but this unfortunately seems to no longer be listed. The third in the series was of the Lorikeet Parrot - a pair, I believe.

Cheers,

Mike
