Stompasaurus Puzzle

Disclaimer - the templates in this puzzle are plastic card.

I received this kit as a gift. It is produced by Protocol, but there are many similar kits available from Wild Republic.

The kit goes together quickly. Simply punch out the parts and assemble. Here is a shot of the body assembled with the front legs

And finally, the completed model... This was a fun diversion from building normal paper models, and the fact that it moves adds to the cool factor. Also forgot to mention, there are two models in the kit, one gray with red plates, the other black with yellow plates. The parts are interchangeable so you can change the color combos if you prefer. These kits can be found online, but also at stores such as Kohls, Target, and JoAnn fabrics occasionally.

This is sooooo cool! I have 3D puzzles in the Other Things We Do forum and am always looking to see what else is out there. The wind-up motor is a nice add-in.

Thanks for sharing,

Ron

This is the only Protocol kit that I'm aware of, but Wild Republic has quite a few dinosaurs and other animals. Some of them have the 'photo-realistic' texture on the parts. The windup mechanism could be repurposed for some of your designs.
