I always test build my designs during the process. I build the uncolored pattern (drawn in AutoCAD). If there are fit problems or parts that I don't like how they go together, I make the necessary changes before continuing.

After that, I add in panel lines, details, and all other markings and rebuild to make sure the markings all line up with those in adjacent parts. If any adjustments are needed, they are resolved.

Then I import the model into CorelDraw to add color and textures and make individual pages. I print the finished model as a PDF and build this one to check everything is still good.

THEN I release to model. In this way I KNOW that there are no build problems and that it can actually be built.

Years of designing has taught me this method.
