Okay...I have to go find the Nascar race to watch
...so I have to get moving....

so, here we go, with your next Instruction:

On this model, I have tried to simulate the curves and graceful streamlining of the actual car, with artwork.
Artwork on top of flat panels, angled sides and squared off shapes.

The Wheel Arches/pods extend well above the main Body of the car.
And on this model, they will be assembled separately and then attached to the top of the body.

So, lets start with those.

There are four wheel arches/pods...front and rear...and right and left.
The front and rear pairs are mirrors of each other.

Lets start with the Front Left Arch.
Cut out the section of the model sheet containing the part.

...
Your parts should already be scored for folding...right?
Both straight sides of the top panel should be scored
as well as the curved section of Glue Tabs.

Start by trimming down the part.
Use a straight edge for the long (bottom) side and for the two ends of the top panel.
Its important to cut all these sides as straight as possible.
You can also cut around the Glue Tabs.

...
Now carefully cut out the remaining parts of the Glue Tabs.
Try to cut right up to the fold line, but not beyond it.

Do your best with that tiny sliver of a glue tab (in the inside corner).
Its a tough one to deal with.
I actually cut it out and leave a couple of millimeters without a tab.

...
Don't forget to edge colour your parts once they are cut out.
I use Art Markers...but in this case I didn't have the best matching Blue.
Mine is a bit too deep/strong and so I must be very careful when applying the colour.
Less is more....don't over do it.

...
Now fold the long side Glue Tabs.
Use something to clamp the straight edge of the Part and fold the Glue Tabs.
Get the Tabs folded down to a right angle to the top panel.

...
I use small, wide, flat ended Tweezers to fold each of the curved edge Glue Tabs.
Just make sure you put a good crease into the Tabs....
and get the Tabs folded to right angles.

..
Now fold the other straight edge (of the top panel)... creating the inside panel of the Wheel Arch.
Once again, I use clamping Tweezers to get a solid grip on the part and create a nice straight fold.

...
Once your Glue Tabs are properly folded, at right angles, and are holding their shape...
flatten everything back out again!

Un-fold the Tabs...so that we can apply the proper curve to the top panel.

...
Use a rounded object, like a dowel...or your Knife Handle
...and gently curve the section of the top panel to match the shape of the side panel.

Just keep forming until it matches the same shape AND holds that shape on its own.
