Thanks for the positive response. If you were to compare the color mis-match and seams on the Tyrannosaur to those of the Brachiosaur that I did, I think you would agree that there is room for improvement. What is acceptable for a playset for a six-year-old, would not be acceptable in a biology classroom or school research lab (didn't we used to call those libraries?)
I do feel that the beasties I designed are superior to the ones I based them from, but if I hadn't seen how the originals were done (and figured out mirror-printing on the backs to avoid glaring white), I'd have never come up with this concept, so I do appreciate the creativity of the kamikami folks
And I did play with putting a santa hat on one of them, but it just didn't look right. I tried making a flat hat with a pocket for the head to slide into. I think it would be better to just make a hatted and hatless version, rather than my approach
