Another update -- I had some time yesterday morning to finish up the structure. It mostly went together pretty well with a few places where I didn't quite get parts aligned perfectly. I'm not sure how much the misalignments will bite me when the skins go on, but I plan to do lots of test fits first and fill if I must. I caught one error in time though. In the picture I had not cut out the small circles because I thought they were just position indicators for the drive sprockets. Looking at Kevin's build thread and the sketchy instructions, I decided they needed to be cut out after all. It was a little more awkward at this stage but still doable. I'm ready to cut the large skin pieces and start the test fitting of parts that will show. Another picture to follow (I don't know how to get my iPad to attach more than one picture per post).
