Can't wait to see your F-84G. I recently found out that it was included in the F84F kit and was looking to build it myself.
As far as early jets, I'm in the same boat. The new hardware is interesting and cool, but it doesn't have the same excitement as the early stuff. Maybe because I was a kid back then when jets and space exploration was still very new.
