I think you both glued them flat to the hood, which is the way I intended it.
The scale allows for the card thickness to create a 3D effect.
Both look great.

Blake7...haha...you made exactly the same mistake as I did!
First time I assembled this model, I put one Roof Lamp facing backwards!
LOL
They are so tiny and annoying to work with, aren't they!

A tip for all (including blake7) when installing wheels...
some designers, like me, use "3D" artwork.
I use artwork shading and highlights to simulate an actual 3D surface.

My wheels are flat car with artwork to simulate the 3D surface.

Make sure when installing a part like this you look for the top and bottom of the part.
If its not indicated on the model sheet, then pay attention to the artwork.
Look at the highlights and shadows and think about the overhead light source to get the correct position.
