I am using my regular 160gsm paper just because I have loads of it. If I build it again I think I will use 250gsm (and 300gsm for the doubled up detail parts to raised them a little higher). I am printing on ink jet printer.

Next up was the completion of the top and bottom core structures.


Then I started with some of the textured parts. First the front parts ...


... and placed onto the assembly.


Because I am using 160gsm paper I am also putting all the details on before I assemble and glue so I can press a little onto the (yet) flat parts and let them dry.

Next the sideways corridors ...


I am only showing one side. Every side is different and very accurately detailed. For example these are the details for the clamps holding the escape pods (conical shapes on the sides).


That's as far as I have come today. I can see the Falcon taking shape! :-)


And finally a detail shot of the ... details :-) Notice the doubled (and tripled) up parts on the top section and the clamps on the sides!


Looking forward to the next step: the top and bottom dish cover :-)
