Thanks from me too - I always believed the hull structure underneath the waterline and other technical details were a well protected secret until today. I wondered that there seemed to be no bulbous bow which was an american invention by Taylor and introduced into german shipbuilding in the late 1920ies (BREMEN, EUROPA). Obviously this was not obligatory necessary to reach a speed record like the Big U did.

site wich deck plans which will also be interesting to understand the UNITED STATES design.
I built the Wilhelmshavener UNITED STATES scaled 1:250 in my youth which is still by far the largest model I ever built and still existing in a really unfortunate condition...
