Just the opposite for me. On the day after my 65th birthday my GP phoned me up to tell me I was now entitled to get a free Flu jab every year. So I dragged an unwilling wife round with me. We've both had them every year since (We're both 74 now) and I can't remember either of us getting even a cold, let alone flu. Plenty of other ailments of course, but no colds or flu.
Of course I suppose it could be the Rum.
