I've decided to make improvements to the model, but it's sure a long distance run.
I want to improve the tip of the wings with a tilting mechanism
 
make an improved cockpit and a catapult seat

Those details you are adding certainly would enrich the model.
And your ideas of adding chains and all that would make it even better.
I admire your patience to tackle them, and your skills modelling in 3D.
And I agree the textures are quite good. The graphics are very nice to see.
That certainly captivated me, and moved me to download it, even though
I wasn't at all into the steampunk fad.
I, however, can not respect a "designer" who keeps offering to the public a kit
with mistakes after he clearly knows it, and who has refused for so long to correct it
by his own.
It looks to me like he's only interested in keeping/increasing the number of views
and the number of downloads to inflate his ego, and not interested at all in people
actually being able to build such kit. A pity, as it looked promising.
The model looks great. But the kit itself is a huge piece of **** as it is.
