Skin parts 1 and 2 are installed first then all of the remaining part 1 components (1a - 1r) are fabricated and installed.

It seems as though some of the laser cut parts may be slightly undersized. I am concerned that this may have carried over to the main formers as well. I had to adjust the side skins to get them to line up with the holes on each side and this led to a slight unexpected overlap to the rear.

Also of interest is that the road wheel mounting marks do not exactly mount up with the details on the bottom plate. It's not by much but it is visible to me especially with the contrast that the white locating areas provide.

I am also using the available photo etched parts on this model. All of these parts will need to be painted. The first of these used were the hinges for the side access doors. Just like paper parts, the hinges had to be rolled. the brass was thin enough that it caused me little problem. One advantage was no delamination that occurs with tight paper rolls.
