Wooden subversive submarine from 1854

I ordered this one on a whim as it's such a curiosity. It's from a company called Parallel in the Ukraine, I believe. It was $5 plus $7 shipping and arrived sooner than expected. Delivery was just over two weeks, which is a heck of a lot better than the six weeks my recent GPM order took. While there are instructions in English, there's no history or other info in English. Six pages of well-printed parts on good quality paper with with four pages of diagram instructions. The model can be built in one of two options, but I haven't quite sorted out what they are yet! The detail looks to be quite good with a full interior. Most of these photos are from the seller's ebay page with a few of my own. If anyone knows anything about the history of this submersible, I'd love to hear it. It's a new one to me! There are a number of very small parts and my recovering hands aren't quite ready for that, so this one goes on the pile for a little while at least.
