Actually they are additional ribs.
The plans added additional section lines near the bow and stern.
I assume to account for the extra curvature in those areas.

The next batch of pics is from Jan 16. Putting on the main deck planking
I am using the masts as location pegs.
They look too small but that is because on the real ship they are steel.
