I made my vacuum box big, so I could use it in the future for other things too.
But in order to reduce the suction area to the canopy of airplane models, I covered the rest of the box with a very strong adhesive tape/masking tape.
I have a semi-industrial vacuum cleaner, so I have a very strong suction inside the big box anyway.
