This is the biggest problem with older works published by Uhu.
The lack of clear assembly instructions, clear photos and directions.

I have tried to assemble his Ironman figure and it still sits incomplete 6 years later!
My first and failed Uhu attempt was the Blade Runner Blaster.
I tossed that one away in complete frustration.
In both cases, it was the lack of (assembly) understanding derived from the available photos.

This is in no way a criticism of the man and/or his artistic talents
(even though there are some people who have tried to twist my comments that way)
but I have always complained about his earlier works in this way
before he started documenting his design builds on his webpages, as he does now.

Unfortunately he still doesn't publish actual assembly instructions or diagrams
(that I am aware of...I stand corrected if there are newer offerings)

Maria is one of the few earlier works that I have seen completed
...only once...by someone other than Uhu himself.
I'm sorry I can't point you to it...maybe it was someone here, on this forum?

Another thing to consider is, Uhu designs in fairly small scale.
His models can be quite detailed and complicated
which is even more impressive (or daunting) when you consider the smaller scale of most of his models.
I don't think Maria was intended to be that big.

But this smaller scale often means more simplified construction and fit tolerances
that exaggerate and grow when the models are enlarged.
In other words, gaps get bigger, seams get looser.
Things that look okay at small scale, won't look as good when enlarged.

Your build quality looks good to this point.
The silver card looks good too.
