Thank you very much for the information about the QHG-50A site. It is very helpful. During research, I discovered multiple versions of the machine. The QH-50C was definitely carried by DD-850 in the waters around Cuba. The machine was notoriously unreliable on operations, yet over all cheaper than using ASROC. The problems lie in the control system, which caused the machine to have the tendency to wander off to do its own thing. The airframe was actually quite reliable. Once the bugs were worked out, it soldiered on into the late seventies. The Japanese had seventeen of them and didn't lose a one. When undertaking a project like this,l the research is half the fun. And, it has to be fun if the project is ever going to come to completion.
