thats not good.
not sure what the problem is...
how are you entering an amount?
don't try to highlight the number area.
just click it once (you should see the cursor to the right of the Dollar sign) and start typing.
if you wish to enter something other than USD, click the dropdown (the USD with arrow)
and pick another currency.
only other option is my paypal account is associated with my email: airdave(at)rogers(dot)com
