It depends on the person. In the late 70's the model car club I belonged to was invited to display at the Los Angeles County Museum of Science and Technology for National Hobby Month. The ones I had were decent builds of AMT plastic kits, so when they asked me what they worth I said maybe $50 each. The curator asked me how much time I had in them. Said around 20 to 30 hours. He came back with: they're arts and craft work, $500.' I was hoping somebody would drop one or steal it since I was making maybe 200 a week at the time.
