I am going to spraypaint it eventually, but on my character models, I usually add a skin of tissue or tracing paper coated with mod podge after I sand and fill and sand the seams again. Makes for a better sealed and sturdier model, but I think it will leave to much of it's own overlapping seams. I think I am going to sand and fill the seams on the body, then spray it with some primer, then decide on how shiny I want it to be after that. At one point, I had made my Gort model too reflective, and had to tone it down.
