Hello Avraham, you are right some french afv was used by both part during the early stage of Israel. Some afv was ''taken'' from syria as left over from vichy state force and some was bought just after war but it is unclear how they was acquired.
Regarding Maly Modelarz R35 i used to know it but i was a bit disappointed by the really ''boxy'' shape of the model. french tank of the period was cast metal and it ia not easy to render the cast metal effect in paper but it is where is fun and challenging. How to figure something with paper material which is flat and angular! Bending is the key and it is fun to find original solution to design.
