A long time ago I made my one and only (so far) pukka paper model. Alright it was newspaper/papier mache sealed with fibre glass resin. The keel was a piece of steel plate with lead on the base. It sailed very well for a few weeks or so while I was waiting to join the army. My brother took it out but rather than the ponds I sailed it on took it straight onto the Thames and it was sadly lost with all hands. The models here are a credit to their builders and I am fortunate to see their construction and final result.
