Some MM published models were like that.I think this P-38 was the last one done this way.Some East German and Russian models had it way back in 1950s and 60s.I had Kranich Mig-15 UTI factory printed on metal coated paper-it had this too.It's actually a pretty cool idea IMHO.Works just like decals on plastic models.
As I recall when I tried doing this kit I got as far as fuselage and wings assembled.Engine gondolas were a nightmare but now I'm thinking I should have thrown out most of those formers supplied with kit as they only added to my confusion.Come to think of it, doing fuselage would have been a lot easier done the way Aaron does his models.
I'm wondering how Zenon will go thru this "obstacle course".Good luck.
