Nando,
I was able to print on the backside of this paper without any visible damage to the frontside (printer roller-wheel marks from my Epson).

Here’s how I added an 1/8 ” to the 5-sided axle. I divided the axle in two and built a 5-sided coupler to slip inside. The coupler is first glued to the outboard side axle. This allows me to attach the spokes to the axle on both (inboard & outboard) sides, before inserting them into the rims. Now I can glue the outboard spoke/wheel assembly to the rim and glue this to the outboard tire. Then I can glue the inboard rim to the inboard tire and slip the inboard spoke-wheel inside. With the inner coupler, the gap is now adjustable.

I’ve re-colored the tires and am building them now. I’ll have pics up in a while. J
