Yuri Gagarin
I flipped a 2 of 3 coin toss and Hornet lost.
This is my effort at Orel's Yuri Gagarin.
The laser cut frames were exceptionally easy to assemble and I didn't use my normal large glass plate and internal framing to maintain straightness.
The kit offers two options to build the tip of the bow, I chose the conical version. The framing and sheets are so well designed I didn't use rib paper rib wideners until about 25% of the way back. If the remainder of the model is this well designed and printed I expect few issues (knock on wood) until I get to the massive dishes.
The lower hull sheathing required about 6 hrs to complete. i will add the propeller support and rudder after sheathing the upper hull, and the propeller until after the ship is completed.
I can only hope my kit builds as well as Marco's superb rendition.
