Boeing 727-200adv Iberia 1/144 scale

Between my list of "to do" planes, there is a 727-30 Lufthansa at 1/70 scale made by Leon Schuyt.
At first I wanted to resize it to 1/72 scale, but later decided to make it at 1/144 to save storage space.
Now, the only difference between the -100 and -200adv models is the length of the fuselage and a small difference in the central jet intake.
So, I have a question:
If I make the repaint, extensions of the fuselage and relocation of the doors, can I publish the model or I'll be just for me?
At which moment I can say that is a totally new model?
