It would be nice, however after Titanic and Bismarck I expect the general public interest would not be very high. The story, other than the ship, would literally be a repeat of those two broadcasts.
I'd rather see an epic film (without use of modern ships) of both the Battle of the Coral Sea, Santa Cruz, and the story of USS Laffey (Mel Gibson is apparently directing). Unfortunately Midway was done so poorly that WWII full scale naval battles may never be done (right) again.
