Tachi
Got around to building blake7's update of Michaelgr's Tachi from "The Expanse."
There's not much more to say about the model that hasn't already been said; it is well-designed, the instructions are clear and as cardmodels go, it is as "shake'n'bake" as it gets.
I rescaled the model from 1/100 to 1/144. I added a number of improvements:
-- Scribed and folded the longitudinal lines on the nozzle of the Epstein Drive; the exterior of the nozzle is supposed to be faceted, not round;
-- Separated the "vanes" (or whatever the heck they are) that are along the bottom of the nozzle
-- Added handrails and paneling/launch door detail to the torpedo bays and forward section of the crew module;
-- Added paneling detail throughout;
-- Recessed some of the panels;
-- Recessed the upper airlock door.
The photos suck, but here they are....
