SNCASO SO.9000 Trident / Answer / 1:33

The SNCASO SO.9000 Trident is a mixed power plant (turbojet/rocket) point defense interceptor that didn’t achieve service. But it flew and makes an attractive subject for a model.
The kit, published by Answer ModelArt in 2010, is quite simple. It has only 223 parts, printed in just 4 pages. Printing quality is fine, using semi-gloss silver paint. The colors are solid (no weathering) and printed detail is quite basic. On the “plus” side, I’d put the assembly drawings. They take more space than the kit itself! On the “not so positive” side, I’d put the fuselage assembly method, with double formers everywhere, and the lack of a plastic canopy. As the canopy has no compound curves and the windscreen surfaces are flat, it should be doable with relative ease.
