Trying to move forward...I am seriously rethinking the scale size.

Because this vehicle is not that big to start with, I'm finding the chassis, drivetrain and suspension parts
to be considerably smaller than I had imagine they were going to be.

And the amount of detail I want to include is become a challenge at 1/24 scale.

I did a quick build of the (unfinished design) Frame...
it all went together as planned but I had a lot of difficulty keeping everything square and straight.
And a lot of this is related to the small scale and my difficulties with that.

After some constant twisting, I was able to get it "straight enough" so to speak.
Building a "jig" would helpful during assembly, but I'd prefer the model went together a bit easier.

After assembling the Frame, and seeing the narrow area between the Frame Rails,
I imagined how small the Differential/Axle would be.

So, I built it to see!

Keeping in mind, these are early design parts...not all of the details are in place or the proper colouring.

It wasn't impossible...and the parts went together as intended.
I have no issues there.
But its small...and some of the detail parts will be very small.

The biggest issue is the main tube that runs through the center of everything.
It is a 3.5mm diameter tube.
And it was tough to roll (with cardstock) ...and create a straight, smooth tube.
If i built one again, I would use a 3mm wooden dowel...and wrap it in a single layer of printed paper.

But once again, thats something the builder can dream up.
I have to put buildable Parts into a kit...and then I can add suggestions for alternate build methods.

I might try increasing the axle tube diameter a little bit, but too much will make it proportionally wrong and unrealistic.
The only way to improve the assembly, is to change it/simplify it even more...

or upscale it.
1/16 scale is looking so much more like an option.

And...I got my first request for this kit, by scale...and that was for 1/16.
I'm sure many of you may be agreeable to 1/24 scale, but nobody has yet to request that scale.

I'm still looking at various ideas for window openings and some interior assembly,
but I must repeat, I still have no plans to include an actual Interior even at 1/16 scale.
The body relies on interior formers and support.
