May be moot, but in Centennial Park in Nashville, there is a memorial to the Armored Cruiser USS Tennessee, launced around 1906. This is a concrete replica of the prow, with the bronze decorative piece from the old ship on it. Actually, it is the original bronze piece from which the item on the cruiser was cast, so even more original than the one on the ship. Lots of close up detail here:
